Fire Chiefs Council of Nassau County Brunch

The Fire Chiefs Council of Nassau County held their annual brunch on the morning of Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, at the Stewart Manor Country Club.

During the short program portion of the event the Council presented their first “Chief of the Year” award. The inaugural recipient of this award was Chief Francis X. DeBobes Jr. – the most recent Ex-Chief of the Bethpage Fire Department.

The Fire Chiefs Council of Nassau County is currently led by President Thomas Pellegrino of the Oceanside Fire Department and is celebrating its one hundredth anniversary this year.
